Depart Creative (DC) has worked with me over the past 18 months to develop a board game from concept to customer. They developed the graphics for the entire game (box, rules and cards), countless social media posts and built my website. Having never undertaken a project like this, it was important to me that the graphic design and web development company were experienced and easy to work with. DC’s years of experience within the graphic design industry allowed them to advise me at every stage, resulting in eye catching graphics and a strong brand identity. They were very patient when I made mistakes or required last minute graphics. Many other companies would have turned me away due to the pace of work and deadlines, but DC always endeavored to deliver.
Their intimate style of working meant regular contact, which was essential during the early stages of development, whilst the brand was finding its feet. I am eternally grateful for how hard working and understanding DC were throughout the development of the game and attribute much of its success to them. I will continue to use their services to expand the current game and as we look to develop new ones. Thank you DC, it was a real pleasure to work with you.
We were extremely excited to be given the opportunity to work on ‘Spout’ – a brand new ‘word game’ devised by company founder, Alex, during the first lockdown in UK 2020. The game is a fantastic mix of strategy and deception based around ‘SPOUTing’ about a subject for 30 seconds. The content is witty and edgy and needed a branding to match the attitude of the game and the fun it will provide the players with. We worked closely with Alex to come up with the ‘Spout’ logo and brand – which used a customised, whimsical font and classic black and white colour scheme to really stand out. We then designed and built the website (with full eCommerce functionality) in collaboration with the wonderful Two Cows Web. We were all delighted with the end result and the game is going from strenth to strength!
